Melanie began coaching in 1998 and speaking in 2004. She was a lead trainer for Coaches Training Institute for 10 years; teaching executives and business owners the skills of coaching. Her speaking audiences have included corporations, non-profits, universities, conferences, and women's organizations. Believing that audiences integrate what they learn when they are included in the conversation, Melanie always engages with her audience, creating moments of deep laughter, fun learning leading to "aha" moments. Melanie's persona is such that she leaves audiences feeling personally touched. Speaking thought provoking messages, she is engaged with her audience and committed to their outcomes.

As a coach, she has worked with hundreds of entrepreneurs, CEO's, CFO's and sole proprietors. A pioneer in the emerging field of coaching, she was one of the first to bring coaching to inmates in the federal penitentiary and state prison systems.

As an entrepreneurial woman herself, Melanie co-founded Choice magazine, the first magazine about coaching. Her column, The Soul of Coaching, received rave reviews from the readership. Through it, she mentored master coaches in the integration of the right brain skills of intuition, innovation and creativity in the coaching conversation.

Melanie received her master's degree from Dominican University's Asian Economic Development and Political Risk. She lived and worked in Wuxi, China teaching graduate students, "How to do Business in Latin America," while simultaneously working with the Chinese government on the pricing and selection of goods for sale in Latin America.

Melanie's direct, take no prisoners style, paired with her laugh out loud humor, created meaningful relationships immediately and provided an exciting learning for the entire group. She was masterful and deeply present - a huge hit!
